Why wont you work?!

Last night I picked out a theme for the blog that I liked.  It was a really pretty beach theme with nice calming blue tones.  I downloaded it & uploaded online.  Then I picked it as my theme but there were changes I wanted to make.  It had the name of the theme as the title of my blog rather than Sports Talk.  So I messed with it for about a half-an-hour and then decided to go back to the default theme since nothing was working.  I started messing with that & found that I could change what I wanted in the default one.  Now the background color is the same as on my website & I have a new picture that I thought went.  So one thing kinda worked.

Then I moved on to make a picture gallery.  The gallery was created & it looked good.  I uploaded it online & then went to type in the address to access it.  It didn’t come up.  All the different addresses never worked.  So I deleted it & re-uploaded it & still didn’t work.  I deleted it off line & computer.  Re-saved the gallery again & called it a night.  Today I tried it all over again…and guess what…it still didn’t work.

I think it is my luck in this this class.  I hope soon I can figure this all out.

I know!! I can’t get my default text out of my WP blog either. And I’ve looked up the “help” topics and no one seems to address the problem….

At this point, I am happy my blog worked yesterday and it works today! Yay! I think there is no way around learning web design without stress. Even if you take Deb’s 15 minute rule and you walk away from the project…

    Kyra,
I so feel your pain. I am hopeful it will all turn out just fine before the semester ends.

Just as I came upon your cat graphic — thanks for the laugh — my real cat has jumped up in the chair next to me and is complaining that my WordPress Bible book is taking up too much room. I can totally relate to your frustrations, but I can also tell you that all of your effort will be worthwhile. And, once you get over the initial code crud, you can concentrate more on posting creative content. You’re well on your way to having a wonderful website and blog. Keep going!
